Sadly, Edward Reiff passed away at home on Feb. 24, 2012 with his wife at his side. Born in Kingston, N.Y., he is survived by his wife of 25 years, Kitty Reiff; daughter, Kristi Bruce and family, Kevin, Cory, Caden and Kara.
Also surviving are his East Coast family: mother, Lillian Wesly; sister, Kathryn Robinson and family John, Johnny and Natalie of Port Ewen, N.Y.; sister, Robbin Clearwater and family Kari and Coryn from Woodstock, N.Y.
Mr. Reiff spent the last 27 years working in the motion picture industry doing special effects. He was on the executive board of Local 44, executive board of A.S.E.P.O. for several years. He loved his job and loved working all over the world.
He and his wife traveled to Europe, Africa and China on locations.
“He loved life, loved God, loved America, loved his job and most important he loved his wife Kitty, dog Z and cat Baby. Also he wished for all his family and friends to know that he loved them and to know this is not the end, but a new beginning,” writes his family.
Two memorial services are planned, one will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, March 31 at Gilpatic-Van Vilet Funeral Home, 27 Smith Ave., Kingston, N.Y. 12401, call (845) 338-1200, with a second in Burbank, Calif., to be announced.
